About this Program
The Multidisciplinary Studies for Future Development Consortium is an open platform for students with diverse and unconventional interests. Students design their own research paths based on their passion, with expert guidance from faculty across all schools at Chiang Mai University, fostering breakthroughs that address the challenges of the future.

Study Plans
Master's Degree
- Plan 1 — Academic Type: Thesis Only (no coursework)
Doctoral Degree
- Type 1.1 (after Master's): Dissertation Only
Tuition Fee
- Master's Plan 1 (Academic Type): 180,000 THB total (45,000 THB/semester)
- Doctoral Type 1.1: 300,000 THB total (50,000 THB/semester)
Remark: International students pay an additional 20,000 THB per semester on top of the standard tuition rate.
Applicant Qualifications
Master's Degree
- Must meet the requirements set by Chiang Mai University for each academic year, applicable to both Thai and international students.
- Must hold a bachelor's degree from an institution recognized by Chiang Mai University.
- Any additional qualifications are at the discretion of the Integrated Science Program's academic committee.
Doctoral Degree
- Must meet the requirements set by Chiang Mai University for each academic year, applicable to both Thai and international students.
- Must hold a master's degree from an institution recognized by Chiang Mai University.
- Must meet the foreign language proficiency requirements as per CMU's announcement.
- Any additional qualifications are at the discretion of the Integrated Science Program's academic committee.
