About Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School

Established in 1976, as Graduate School at Chiang Mai University is dedicated to upholding and promoting international standards in graduate education. Our emphasis lies in driving excellence in both research and education through holistic and lifelong learning paradigms. We consistently enhance our graduate curriculum by starting multi-interdisciplinary courses in 1990. Graduate School is responsible for curriculum management.

In 2023, Graduate School was transformed into Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School (MIdS) to be the platform for the integration of courses in various fields of knowledge, disciplines, and across faculties into a new curriculum. MIdS takes pride in global outreach, maintaining collaborative relationships with numerous universities worldwide. We currently offer 9 Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary postgraduate programs.
