About this Program
The Climate Change Management Consortium develops experts in carbon management and climate change response. The program covers carbon footprint assessment, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), carbon offset project development, and strategic planning from local to national levels—all in support of sustainable Carbon Neutral goals.
Program Highlights
- Carbon Footprint Assessment — Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) and Carbon Footprint of Products (CFP), including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
- Climate Risk & Adaptation — Climate change risk management and Climate Adaptation Planning.
- Project Planning & Management — Project planning and management, with the organization of conferences, seminars, and stakeholder networking.
- Sustainable Carbon Management — Focusing on education, research, and development of sustainable carbon management approaches—supporting Carbon Neutrality goals at organizational, community, and national levels.
- International-Standard Carbon Offset — Development of carbon offset projects meeting international standards.
- Comprehensive Impact & Adaptation — Climate change impacts and adaptation strategies across environmental, economic, and social dimensions.
- Strategic Planning — Strategic planning from local to national levels, transforming knowledge into action through participation.
Study Plans
Master's Degree
- Plan 1 — Academic Type: Thesis Only (no coursework)
Doctoral Degree
- Type 1.1 (after Master's): Dissertation Only
Tuition Fee
- Master's Plan 1 (Academic Type): 180,000 THB total (45,000 THB/semester)
- Doctoral Type 1.1: 300,000 THB total (50,000 THB/semester)
Remark: International students pay an additional 20,000 THB per semester on top of the standard tuition rate.
Applicant Qualifications
Master's Degree
- Must meet the requirements set by Chiang Mai University for each academic year, applicable to both Thai and international students.
- Must hold a bachelor's degree from an institution recognized by Chiang Mai University.
- Any additional qualifications are at the discretion of the Integrated Science Program's academic committee.
Doctoral Degree
- Must meet the requirements set by Chiang Mai University for each academic year, applicable to both Thai and international students.
- Must hold a master's degree from an institution recognized by Chiang Mai University.
- Must meet the foreign language proficiency requirements as per CMU's announcement.
- Any additional qualifications are at the discretion of the Integrated Science Program's academic committee.
