MIdS CMU Organizes “MIdS First Meet & Cultural Immersion” to Foster Connections and Cultural Exchange

On Friday, September 11, 2026, Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University (MIdS CMU) organized “MIdS First Meet & Cultural Immersion” activity for MIdS students.

The event was opened by Dr. Pornsuda Insan, Assistant Dean of MIdS CMU, who warmly welcomed and greeted the students. The activity aimed to provide an opportunity for students, administrators, faculty members, and staff of MIdS CMU to build meaningful connections, strengthen friendships, and learn about different cultures while creating memorable experiences together as part of the MIdS community.

The event was divided into two main sessions.

Session 1: Team-Building & Relationship-Building Activities
The first session featured fun and engaging activities designed to strengthen relationships between MIdS students and staff, including “Unity Ball: We Are One Team,” “Moving Forward Together, Going Further,” and “Collaborative – Give & Take.” The activities were held at the Physical Education Building, Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University.

Session 2: Cocktail Reception & Live Traditional Performances
The second session featured a Cocktail Reception and Live Traditional Performances, creating an enjoyable atmosphere for students and staff to connect and celebrate cultural diversity. Highlights included performances of “Ji Ming Yue” and “Long Mae Ping” by students from the Contemporary Chinese Language Teaching Program, MIdS CMU, along with traditional Thai cultural performances at Building 2, MIdS CMU.

Through this activity, MIdS CMU continues to foster a welcoming and inclusive learning community where connection, collaboration, cultural understanding, and friendship come together to create meaningful experiences for students throughout their academic journey.
